Contentment

When we are content in God alone the devil cannot tempt us. But our fleshly desires to have…. maybe what someone else has received, can bring us to a place of discontentment. Where there is jealousy and envy there is all kinds of evil.

When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.

When we were kids we struggled with this, but we are NOT kids anymore let’s grow up in the Lord.

She was upset because her mama got a Valentine gift and she did not. What looks incredibly cute on a Three-year-old is not cute at all when we’re Adults.

God help us to grow up in your word and to be content in you alone. I read that in my money devotional this week. It’s actually a quote from CS Lewis who said “He who has God and everything has no more than he who has God alone.

Dear Lord help us be content in you alone in Jesus name Amen.

Love you my Sisters from another Mister. I encourage you to walk as Jesus walked today and be filled with the spirit and therefore you will have the fruits of the spirit.

Today I’m asking you to pray for the picture with this blog. This is a recent graduate from basic training in the Army and his parents. I am asking that you pray for him and his family. We need to not only pray for their physical safety, but their minds and their souls. So grateful for these young men who volunteer to protect us and lay down their lives. They give up time with their families for us. There is no greater love than that .
